This is the 1st of what I hope will be 26 blog posts, in alphabetical order, about this and that... and even some of the other.
If you follow my blog, you know that I am a magician, 42 years now as a charter member of International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M; Ring 210: Duke Stern Chapter; Ann Arbor, Michigan).
As well, I am a fan of the auction and all things auctiony.
So the other day, a gift of magic came to me through the auction. A fellow Ringman, knowing of my magical heritage, gave me a flat of "antique magic," he called it.
Stunned I was as I looked through the contents later that night.
There were Cosmic Eyes and Floating Lights.
Magic Lessons numbering 32 and more of that Cosmic Eye.
A Magic Light Bulb...
And something Marvelous, Mysterious and Weird!
There were potions and powders of a nefarious nature
and something unusual which perplexes even me!
And hidden away in plain sight was an artifact of legerdemain which made the Royal Liaison to Princess Ozma (that's me) very happy indeed!!!
"But James!" you may declare, "It is but a simple cage!" And yet, for me and my fellow magicians, it is history and a connection to the past heritage of my magical brethren.
And so it goes, my first posting for the month of April and the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge. I hope I got it right!

ReplyDeleteI write about magic all the time over at my blog The Other Side. but it's the supernatural type, not the stage magic (that is often much more interesting). So I am more Harry Potter and Harry Dresden than Harry Houdini.
Looking forward to seeing what you do!

Are you a princessy wizard or a Princess of Wizards?
ReplyDeleteIf the latter, I would be interested to know the political structure of wizards. Most especially since the only exposure I have had to such would be through reading the Harry Potter book series and assuming that JK Rowling didn't go dabbling into the real world of witchcraft and wizardry to write her childrens books.
