#AtoZChallenge : Knife of Oz the Great and Powerful!

Knowing that this is the second Friday of April, that can mean only one thing...

Today's blog posting is brought to you by the letter K.

While watching Oz the Great and Powerful, I noticed something very unique in both the opening sequence and again in the final battle against the Wicked Witch sisters.

Oscar Diggs (aka: Oz) escapes from a jealous strongman and Evil clown by cutting the rope which secures his balloon to Mother Earth with a most unique knife. Whilst engaged within the funnel cloud of the tornado, before he retrieves his hat, he finds that same knife floating about and retrieves it first.

I was unable to find any still photos showing him and his knife, but when I saw it, I recognized it as one identical to a knife I own.

This is what I call the "knife of a baker's dozen uses." If you think I'm kidding, then watch...

There's a fork and a spoon on either end (that's 2  so far), a can opener & bottle opener (4 down, 9 to go), a wood saw, large blade (that's the one he used to cut the balloon's rope), leather cutter, scissors (4 more and only 5 left), a leather punch, leather sewing needle, file & flat tip screwdriver (that's the part the Head Tinker used to fix the loose screw on the electrical switch) and finally... a corkscrew! 13 uses in a single knife!

Now that's magical and a perfect thing for a wizard to carry on his person. It also makes a fine gift for any Tinker in the Land of Oz!
